1st Month / 23rd Day -4th from Sabbath (thursday) : Y’sha’s death

  • The trial:

Luke 22:66 And when the (due) day came, the body of elders of the people, the chief priests and scribes, were gathered. And they led Him away into their Sanhedrin, …

(According to Jewish Law “trials may not be held on the eve of a Sabbath or on the eve of a Festival”. Non-capital cases may be completed in one day, but capital cases require the judges to wait overnight before rendering their decision. Since this is so, capital cases are not adjudicated on the day before the Sabbath or a Festival, for if they were the punishment would have to be carried out on the Sabbath or Festival and it was considered to be a breach of Sabbath or Festival law to execute on those days." (Sanhedrin 4:1). Therefore Yehusha’s trial on a High Sabbath is very unlikely.)

  • Led to Pilate

Matthew 27:1-2 And early morning occurring, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel together against Yehusha, so as to put Him to death. And binding Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

  • Friday: the burial

Matthew 27:57-58 And late afternoon having come, a rich man from Arimathea (Joseph by name) who also himself was a disciple of Yehusha, coming up to Pilate, this one asked for the body of Yehusha. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given.

Mark 15:42-43 And it becoming late afternoon already, since it was Preparation, that is, the day before a Sabbath, Joseph of Arimathea came, an honorable councilor, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of Elohim. And taking courage, he went in to Pilate and begged the body of Yehusha.
