4th Month /1st Day - 4th from Sabbath (wednesday)

(The Tekufah, the last day of the season, always precedes a Memorial Day, 1st day of the season, the first and last having a place of honor if dedicated to YHWH.)

The Days of Remembrance:

Jubilees 6:23-31

And on the new head of the first month, and on the new head of the fourth month, and on the new head of the seventh month, and on the new head of the tenth month are the days of remembrance, and the days of the seasons in the four divisions of the year. These are written and ordained as a testimony for ever.

And Noah ordained them for himself as feasts for the generations for ever, so that they have become thereby a memorial unto him.

And on the new head of the first month he was bidden to make for himself an ark, and on that (day) the earth became dry and he opened (the ark) and saw the earth.

And on the new head of the fourth month the mouths of the depths of the abyss beneath were closed.

And on the new head of the seventh month all the mouths of the abysses of the earth were opened, and the waters began to descend into them.

And on the new head of the tenth month the tops of the mountains were seen, and Noah was glad.

And on this account he ordained them for himself as feasts for a memorial for ever, and thus are they ordained.

And they placed them on the heavenly tablets, each had thirteen weeks; from one to another (passed) their memorial, from the first to the second, and from the second to the third, and from the third to the fourth.

And all the days of the commandment will be two and fifty weeks of days, and (these will make) the entire year complete. Thus it is engraven and ordained on the heavenly tablets.

And there is no neglecting (this commandment) for a single year or from year to year.

Henock 72:15-16 (from the Ethiopian text) (numbering by R.H Charles)

And the sun mounts up to make the day shorter and the night longer, and the sun returns to the east and enters into the sixth portal, and rises from it and sets thirty mornings. 16. And when thirty mornings are accomplished, the day decreases by exactly one part, and becomes eleven parts, and the night seven.

[4th month: sunrises & sunsets on the 6th gate (sunrise from east to north-east) ; has 30 days; day = 11 parts & night = 7 parts (14 hours of daylight); night becomes longer by 1 part]

Mose:

Exode 19:1-15

In the third month after the sons of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that very day, they came into the wilderness of Sinai. (…) 5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice, and keep my את covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine; 6 and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.’ (…)

10 YHWH said to Moses, “Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments, 11 and be ready against the third day; for on the third day YHWH will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai. 12 You shall set bounds to the את people all around, saying, ‘Be careful that you don’t go up onto the mountain, or touch its border. Whoever touches the mountain shall be surely put to death. 13 No hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through; whether it is animal or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mountain.”

14 Moses went down from the mountain to the people, and sanctified the את people; and they washed their clothes. 15 He said to the people, “Be ready by the third day. Don’t have sexual relations with a woman.”

Noak:

Jubilees 6:26

And on the head of the fourth month the mouths of the depths of the abyss beneath were closed.

Jubilees 5:29-30

And (on the head) in the fourth month the fountains of the great deep were closed and the flood-gates of heaven were restrained; and on the head of the seventh month all the mouths of the abysses of the earth were opened, and the water began to descend into the deep below. And on the head of the tenth month the tops of the mountains were seen, and on the head of the first month the earth became visible.

Jubilees 6:1-4

And on the head of the third month he went forth from the ark, and built an altar on that mountain. And he made atonement for the earth, and took a kid and made atonement by its blood for all the guilt of the earth; for everything that had been on it had been destroyed, save those that were in the ark with Noah. (…) And the Lord smelt the goodly savour, and He made a covenant with him that there should not be any more a flood to destroy the earth; (…)

Abraham:

Jubilees 14:1-6

After these things, in the fourth year of this week, on the head of the third month, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a dream, saying: ‘Fear not, Abram; I am thy defender, and thy reward will be exceeding great.’ And he said: ‘Lord, Lord, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go hence childless, and the son of Maseq, the son of my handmaid, is the Dammasek Eliezer: he will be my heir, and to me thou hast given no seed.’ And he said unto him: ‘This (man) will not be thy heir, but one that will come out of thine own bowels; he will be thine heir.’ And He brought him forth abroad, and said unto him: ‘Look toward heaven and number the stars if thou art able to number them.’ And he looked toward heaven, and beheld the stars. And He said unto him: ‘So shall thy seed be.’ And he believed in the Lord, and it was counted to him for righteousness.

Jubilees 16:1 -10

And on the head of the fourth month we appeared unto Abraham, at the oak of Mamre, and we talked with him, and we announced to him that a son would be given to him by Sarah his wife.

(…) And in this month the Lord executed his judgments on Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Zeboim, and all the region of the Jordan, and He burned them with fire and brimstone, and destroyed them until this day, even as [lo] I have declared unto thee all their works, that they are wicked and sinners exceedingly, and that they defile themselves and commit fornication in their flesh, and work uncleanness on the earth.

(…) And in this month Abraham moved from Hebron, and departed and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur in the mountains of Gerar.

Adam:

Jubilees 3:32

And on the head of the fourth month, Adam and his wife went forth from the Garden of Eden, and they dwelt in the land of Elda in the land of their creation.
